How to Apply
Applicants who wish to get certified through EBEC-FPRS (Europeans and non-Europeans) must have completed specialty board certification in Otorhinolaryngology. There are two tracks to apply.
l. Fellowship track
- It is mandatory for the fellows of EAFPS to take the EBEC-FPRS exam at the completion of their fellowship as part of the Certification process.
- After successful completion of their accredited EAFPS fellowship and successfully passing both the written and the oral part of the European Board exam, fellows must submit 100 consecutive cases of operation notes that they operated personally as the primary surgeon performed within two years. These submitted cases will undergo thorough review by the board. Following completion and review of these, board certification will be granted with the approval of EBEC-FPRS.
2. Regular track
- Regular candidates who have not undergone a European fellowship training program, but aspire to attain board certification, may also apply. Regular track physicians are required to submit a total of 100 personal operative case reports within a span of 2-years. Following a thorough evaluation and approval of these cases by the EBEC-FPRS, the candidate becomes eligible to take the European Board exam.
- Criteria for certification of these individuals include successfully passing both the written and the oral part of the European Board exam.
